STORYLINE:
The guard of honour welcomes the foreign leaders to Jordan.
Jordan's King Abdullah II receives Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras at the Al Husseiniya palace.
This is the second trilateral meeting between the three countries.
The first summit was hosted by Cyprus in January 2018.
"Obviously we've been discussing renewable energies but energies as a regional bloc, agriculture, tourism, transport and other areas which I think will give a tremendous hope of growth to our private sectors," says King Abdullah II.
The representatives discuss geopolitics in the Middle East.
"We are looking I think for the words of wisdom on moving forward the two-state solution and a political process that that entails, but also looking at the challenges that we see in Syria, in Lebanon and Iraq and again we have meetings of minds," he says.
A key focus of the summit is furthering the economic cooperation between the three states.
Nicos Anastasiades, the president of Cyprus, refers to two memorandums signed between the three nations, which relate to working together in the areas of education and investment.
"The signing of the memoranda of understanding in the field of education, and between our respective investment promotion agencies as well as the first trilateral business forum taking place today constitute important development in fully exploring the important opportunities between our countries, amongst others, in the fields of trade, investment, tourism, education, research and innovation," he says.
In 2018, the three leaders weighed in on the Mideast peace efforts, urging the resumption of talks between Israelis and Palestinians and voicing support for a two-state solution.
The Palestinian-Israeli conflict is also a focus of this year's trilateral meeting according to Greek Prime Minister Alex Tsipiras
"We will increase our coordination in order to strengthen EU-Jordan relations and of course our coordination to support peace in Syria and a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine living in peace, based on the borders of 1967, with East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine," he says.
The three countries sign various agreements and MOUs at the end of the summit.
Last year in Nicosia, Jordan, Cyprus, and Greece agreed to launch a trilateral partnership to advance cooperation in vital areas, and a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding were signed.
