Aata aloo roll
Ingredients:
For filling:
• 3 boiled mashed potatoes
• 1 teaspoon saunf (fennel seeds)
• 1 teaspoon amchur powder (dry mango powder)
• 1 teaspoon salt - as per taste
• ¼ teaspoon garam masala powder
• 1 chopped green chili
• Chopped green coriander leaves
For dough:
• 1 bowl wheat flour
• ½ teaspoon salt
• Chopped green coriander leaves
• 3 teaspoon oil
• Water
Procedure:
• In a bowl Mash 3 boiled potatoes, add 1 teaspoon saunf (fennel seeds), 1 teaspoon amchur powder (dry mango powder), 1 teaspoon salt (as per taste), ¼ teaspoon garam masala powder, 1 chopped green chili, handful of chopped green coriander leaves, mix well.
• For dough add 1 bowl of wheat flour, ½ teaspoon salt, few chopped green coriander leaves, 3 teaspoon oil, mix with the help of water and knead the dough, cover the dough for 10 minutes
• Roll a piece of dough with the help of dry flour, make sure to roll a thick base, apply the potato filling evenly on the base and roll it tightly
• Cut the roll into 1-inch piece, and slight press diagonally, prepare other rolls with same steps
• In a pan add 2-3 tablespoon oil, let the oil heat and then set the gas flame on low-medium, add potato rolls into the pan, after some time flip the rolls and fry them until golden brown
• Serve the potato rolls with your favorite chutney / sauce
