Operation Market Garden 2025

Описание: Hundreds of paratroopers were dropped over Ginkel Heath to commemorate the start of the Operation Market Garden offensive in September 1944.

The Allies intention was to seize control of key bridges in the East of the Netherlands, to open a gateway into German defenses and bring an early end to the war. Sadly, the plan failed, & the event is featured in the book & film ‘A Bridge Too Far’. ‪@gemeente-ede‬ @bezoak_ede
