Stella Filippatos is the Director of Program Management, Electrical Aircraft at CAE, where she leads the development of the company’s new electric aircraft program. She oversees cross-functional internal teams and manages external partnerships and suppliers to deliver the engineering, industrial implementation, commercial strategy, and business case needed for a successful entry into service. With nearly 20 years of experience, Stella is a veteran in aerospace program development.
She began her career at CAE in 2006 as an Avionics Systems Specialist before moving into leadership roles at both CAE and Bombardier in product management, engineering, supply chain, and business strategy. Holding degrees in Electrical Engineering (B.Eng., M.A.Sc.) from Polytechnique Montréal and an MBA from Concordia University, Stella is also passionate about mentoring the next generation. She frequently speaks to students about STEM careers, shares early career advice, and supports employee resource groups focused on building a more diverse aviation workforce.
