The GAM-10X is a family of Chinese infrared-guided anti-tank missiles of the "fire and forget" system, exported by the Poly Technologies Corporation.
This family of missiles was introduced in China in 2016.
The GAM-10X has several variants, including GAM-100, GAM-101, and GAM-102.
The GAM-100 is a small short-range missile with a range of 200–2,500 m, a weight of 13 kg and a length of 1,200 mm.
The missile is designed to be portable for shoulder-to-shoulder infantry action and has a soft-launch mechanism, which involves the rocket taking off with the subsequent launch of the marching engine after the rocket is fired from the barrel.
It has an infrared seeker in the homing head, and at launch it develops a rocket speed of 170 m/s.
It has the ability to attack the target from the upper projection, i.e. it belongs to the TOP-ATTACK ammunition and has the ability to penetrate up to the equivalent of 800 mm of homogeneous steel.
The entire system weighs less than 20 kg and is considered a lighter and cheaper alternative to the HJ-12 missile, which is already in the inventory of the People's Liberation Army of China.
