I sat down for a virtual chat with one of my past students, Ishaaq. He spoke about his journey in learning maqamat - where he was before working with me (spoiler alert: he had no tune), and then some of the progress he's made. And more importantly the impact that's had on his relationship with the Quran.
If you're interested in learning maqamat but you're kinda not really sure about the whole process and what you might except from working with me, this is a good watch. As you can see from his story, this really does work - there is work you have to put in but reciting with a tune is something that you can do. And all success is from Allah alone.
