Crooked Legal Aid Solicitor Fined with Total Costs of £46,000 Breach SRA Rules

Описание: A crooked solicitor whose law firm used Legal Aid money to pay office bills and staff salaries has been cleared for misconduct and lacking integrity with honesty.
The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal on September 13, 2022, decided that Mr Mladen Kesar the sole owner of Bromley firm Kesar & Co Solicitors had not deliberately misused money paid by the Legal Aid Agency.
Elizabeth Hill the firm's practice manager also non-solicitor was cleared of the same allegations of false accounting.

Kesar breached the Solicitors Regulation Authority Rules misused Legal Aid money also he acted without integrity, making feeble excuses by being uneconomical with the truth by making false accounting rules and being very deceitful in this regard.
The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal finding allegations of misusing disbursement money proven on Kesar's admissions but there was no serious intent to breach the SRA Rules.
He was fined £6,000 and ordered to pay £40,000 costs also in total have to pay £46,000.

During the first day of the tribunal hearing that took place on September 13, 2022, heard that Kesar had been investigated by the SRA following the complaints from 2 companies owed money for legally aided work.
County Court judgements over these debts was obtained in May 2019.

Kesar is making excuses which he was in serious breach of the SRA Rules by withholding payments and covering up the wrongdoing by being deceitful with dishonesty.
Kesar and Hill were not caring professional people by failing to serve their clients and community by using the incorrect case law by employing Alexander Jackaman dubbed as 'Mr Jackass Jackaman'.

The firm set up a legal charity in 2013 called Intervene Project as a vehicle which did not help people in custody also based on poor legal advice and not being very helpful.
Hill was fined £6,000 and was ordered to pay £18,000 costs which she has to pay £24,000 in total by the SDT in her failure to follow procedures and breaching the SRA Rules as a result.
