It's the most sustainable way to reduce ammonia, nitrite and most of all nitrate in your aquarium. In this episode I up my biological filtration game by adding some ceramic bio media. Ceramic bio media is a fish safe ceramic media that has an extensive pore structure such that the surface area is maximized and the aerobic bacteria and anaerobic bacteria can grow and feed on the nutrients in your aquarium. I bought a big bag of ceramic bio media because I wanted to compare it to the Marine Pure Ceramic bio media I bought years ago. This video shows you the difference between the two.
