Jai Shriman Narayan.
Today, as we reflected on Chapter 1, Verse 41 of the Bhagavad Gita, I reminded everyone of something deeply urgent for our time — the true meaning of the Guru principle.
From the very dawn of creation, the Guru principle was manifested as the second principle in the universe. Man came much later. This alone tells us how sacred and powerful the Guru tattva truly is. But in Kaliyug, we see confusion. Institutions rise around personalities. Titles replace truth. Popularity replaces parampara.
As explained in the discourse , spirituality does not begin with a human founder. It begins with the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Sriman Narayana. If an institution is Guru-based rather than God-based, we must pause and ask — are we following scripture, or are we following personality?
In his Gita Bhāṣya, Sri Ramanujacharya makes it clear: knowledge of the Lord must come through authentic sampradāya, rooted in shastra, guided by surrender, and illuminated by devotion. The Guru does not replace God. The Guru reveals God.
Common sense and scripture must walk together. The mind is the commander of the senses — and if it is not guided by śāstra, it becomes misled by spectacle.
This is not about criticism. It is about clarity.
It is about returning to what is eternal.
It is about aligning with Narayana — not noise.
If you seek depth, if you seek truth rooted in Ramanuja’s uncompromising vision of surrender (śaraṇāgati), then walk this path with us.
The Gita is not a motivational text.
It is a divine revelation.
And it must be understood through the lens of our Acharyas.
Jai Shriman Narayan.
