In the sixth Android video tutorial on creating an app, we look at how to save our current high score by using SharedPreferences. Before doing so, we fix a localization error where we hard coded some strings in our code. From there, we set up reference to SharedPreferences so that in the onCreate method, we can get our saved high score and in the onPause method, we can save our high score. We use the onPause method since Android guarantees us this method will be called before an activity is destroyed.
