The nose is located in the middle of the face and most distinctive organ when looking at face. In rhinoplasty, problems that prevent breathing such as deformities in the nose and deviation are tried to avoided. Simultaneous procedures for two different targets can be performed in rhinoplasties.
One of these goals is to restore the deviation on the nose to provide breathing and allow to physiological functions, removal of bone, cartilage or concha obstruction which prevent breathing. The second goal is to create a nose shape that is suitable for the face structure of the patient.
I perform my rhinoplasties with taking these two goals into consideration with the same seriousness. In order to achieve good results in rhinoplasty, good planning is required. For this purpose, I try to explain the changes that I want to make to my patients before the surgery and show the result that I aim at the end of the surgery by using every developments of technology.

Although I prefer open surgery technique in rhinoplasty, it is frequently used in closed rhinoplasty method in appropriate patients. The most beautiful and most positive development for me in recent years is the ultrasonic device (piezotome) became an integral part of the surgical technique. I perform bone forming procedures now with ultrasonic rhinoplasty technique which we previously perform with the help of the hammer, chisel and rasp. The most important feature of ultrasonic rhinoplasty is that the device used only affects the bone tissue, does not damage the cartilage, mucosa and vascular structures of the nose, it both reduces the bruising and edema significantly and provides a shorter and faster recovery for the patient.

I prefer to perform my rhinoplasty operations under general anesthesia. Hospitalization of our patients for one night is very important in terms of providing good care after surgery as well as patient safety. I prefer to remove the splints and tampons from the patient in 7th day but this situation differs from patient to patient.

With the consent and informative forms we sent to our patients before the operation, we aim to our patients have all kinds of information about rhinoplasty that takes approximately 2-2,5 hours and postoperative period.
