Описание: I decided to head out to the BNSF’s Chillicothe Subdivision in Mazon, IL to take a look at the fast-paced BNSF freight action on the first Saturday of August 2025. While we didn’t see a huge amount of trains, we did get quite the handful. We also got to see quite a bit of motive power, including lots of power on both UP run-through Z-trains, as well as seeing at least one locomotive from every Class 1 railway, which is something I don’t usually get to see in my area, nor was I expecting to see that out on the Transcon! To end off the day, we also quickly visited one of two Tinley Park, IL Metra stations to catch IAIS train BICR, which had the Iowa Interstate’s Rock Island heritage unit leading, so all in all, it was quite a productive day!
