If there is one winter sweet every home should make, it is Bajra Gond Laddus.These laddus are loaded with iron, healthy fats, plant protein, and warming ingredients that support strength, immunity, and joint health.
Made with bajra flour, edible gond, nuts, ghee, and jaggery, these laddus are deeply nourishing, naturally sweet, and perfect for winter mornings, post-meal desserts, or festive gifting.
Healthy Bajra Gond Laddus Recipe
Ingredients
Bajra flour – 1 1/2 cups
Almonds – 15 to 20
Cashews – 15 to 20
Pistachios – 3 tbsp
Walnuts – 1/4 cup
Edible gond – 2 tbsp
Ghee – 1/2 cup
Jaggery – 1 cup
Method
1. Dry roast all the nuts and blend them into a coarse powder.
2. Heat ghee in a pan. Add gond and fry until puffed and crispy.
3. Remove gond, let it cool, then lightly crush it.
4. In the same pan, add bajra flour and roast on low flame for 15–20 minutes until aromatic.
5. Transfer roasted bajra flour to a bowl and allow it to cool.
6. Add the powdered nuts and crushed gond. Mix well.
7. Melt jaggery in a pan until smooth.
8. Pour melted jaggery into the flour mixture and mix thoroughly.
9. While warm, shape into laddus.
10. Let them set and serve.
These laddus are excellent for winter nutrition, post-pregnancy care, growing children, and anyone who wants a traditional sweet that truly nourishes the body.
