Great Gable is one of the most iconic Lake District fells and a summit ive had my sights on for a camp for a long time,
Parking at Honistor Slate mine I took the longer yet easier route around the base of Grey Knotts and Brandreth before summiting Green Gable and then onto Great Gable, where I set up for the night with some stunning views over Wast Water.
I was lucky enough to get an amazing sun set, a brief glimpse of the Northern Lights ( not caught on film ).
In the morning I woke to find around 6" of snow around my tent.
Another great camp and another bucket list location ticked off, catch you on the next !!
