Nudum Pactum
meaning : "a naked agreement"
It denotes an agreement made without any consideration.
e.g. Ram assures Sita that he would give her Rs. 50,000 and a ring for no consideration in return from her end. This is a mere promise, thus it cannot be enforced and amounts to nudum pactum.
