Speaking about the PIMS tragedy, he said the Prime Minister’s inquiry committee report is expected tonight and stressed that there is no intention at any level to protect anyone involved in the incident. Mustafa Kamal said no one responsible will be spared and acknowledged his own responsibility as Federal Health Minister, even offering himself for investigation by an opposition committee. He also urged Parliament to move beyond committees and repeated hearings, saying the healthcare system has deteriorated and that efforts should focus on preventing the next child from dying.
