The new X Factor? Spice Girls launch TV talent show
SPICE Girls fans, prepare to Spice Up Your Lives…
Girl power was out in full force once again last week when the Spice Girls posted their reunion snap, prompting fans to speculate whether the famous five-piece would be getting back together.
But although our hopes for a reunion tour may have been dashed, we may be seeing more of the girls on our screens; as judges in a new TV talent show.
The TV show is thought to see Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Mel C, Emma Button and Geri order create a new Spice Girls by creating a girlband made up of different nationalities.
The new show is being spear-headed by Simon Fuller, who made the group international superstars as their manager in the 90s.
A source spilled: "Simon has formulated the idea of a TV talent show which will have a panel that includes one or more of the girls.
"He has been formulating this girlband idea for over two years. He wants to create an international band.
"Meetings have taken place with Nickelodeon about the show."
The source added to The Sun: "Geri, Mel B, Mel C and Emma have had experience of being on TV talent panels but this would be a first for Victoria.”
Earlier this week, fashion designer Victoria denied the girls would be going on tour after she shared the snap of all five girls together.
Speaking to Vogue, she explained: "I'm not going on tour. The girls aren't going on tour.
"It was so great to see the girls. We had such a fun lunch. It was really, really, really lovely. I still speak to them all individually, but for us all to get together was really lovely.
"There’s something so strong in the message of what the Spice Girls stood for. What is that in the future? What does that look like? We were just bouncing ideas around. Brainstorming."
The quintet previously toured together in 2008 to coincide with the release of their greatest hits album, as a final farewell to fans.
But it looks as if you really, really want to see a Spice Girls tour, you could always head over to California.
Brooklyn Beckham was left cringing after he took his movie-star girlfriend Chloe Mortez to a Spice Girls-themed brunch for her 21st birthday.
A series of drag queens impersonated the five piece while they sang along to iconic hit Wannabe.
