Heinz Roemheld: Ruby (piano solo version)

Описание: Roemheld (1901-85) was an Oscar-winning American composer of music for over 400 films. His father was a German immigrant, and Heinz, who was a child prodigy pianist, studied music in Berlin with, inter alia, Busoni and Egon Petri. The rise of Nazism prevented him from making a long-term career in Germany. 'Ruby' comes from Roemheld's music to the 1952 film 'Ruby Gentry', which starred Jennifer Jones and Charlton Heston. This fully-worked out piano solo version was published by Miller Music Corp. in 1953, the year in which the song was a big hit. Probably the most famous singer to cover the song (which has lyrics by Mitchell Parish) was Ray Charles.
