Описание: “The Boys of Barr na Sráide” Full Song & Intro on the last day of the Rockport Celtic Music Festival this past September🥹🤍🎶 As I explain in the captions, this was the “coffeehouse” event, the day after I had performed in one of the actual concerts. Our incredible artistic director Maeve Gilchrist invited me up onstage to share a song. Having listened to the beautiful poetry and songs shared already that day and with the breathtaking view of the harbor behind the stage, I thought of this song. I’m so afraid of singing a cappella without accompaniment or a drone to anchor me, and it certainly exposes the tiredness in my voice (I’d just gotten back from Ireland and then over Covid😅) but as I always say to my students, communicating the story is the most important thing. Also, that’s my dad in the last row in the right of the frame there. I accidentally captured him humming along—and realized we must have the same favorite line, though we will surely never talk about it. 🌊🕊️🎶✨
