Описание: Testing a new "smart" alternator from a 3rd gen (2018) Toyota Tacoma was not as straight forward as I thought. Toyota alternators are now controlled by the ECU/ECM via a serial bus protocol. I was able to use an arduino to send the proper ECM commands and verify the alternator output.
