Learn everything you need to know about how to clean, wash, and dry YOUR cloth diapers.

In this video I go into detail exactly how to deal with baby pee, baby poo/poop.

I also break down all the different stages of poo your baby will go through. (there are different stages of poop!!??!...unfortunately...yes.) But don't worry, I'm gonna show you everything you need to know while keeping it SIMPLE.

****How to Wash Cloth Diapers*****
*Separate the liner/insert from the diaper cover

*If its pee/urine: throw it in the diaper pail. Or if you want to avoid the strong next day urine smell, give it a quick rinse in the sink.
If its poop: spray it off with a diaper sprayer OR dunk it directly into the toilet water OR if you're on a septic tank, you can rinse it off in the sink. Then toss it in the diaper pail
If your baby is breast fed/nursing you can just toss it directly into the diaper pail with out rinsing it off first (this is because nursing baby's poo is water based). If your baby is formula fed, you will need to rinse off the poop first using any of the above methods

*Washer Machine: if you did not previously rinse the diapers, you will need to run the diapers through a pre rinse cycle first.
if you already rinsed them before tossing into your diaper pail, then you can skip the pre rinse.
Set your washer machine to normal and use the HOT or HOTTEST water setting.
Add YOUR CHOICE laundry detergent (there is no wrong way. contrary to what SOME PEOPLE say, you CAN USE HOMEMADE LAUNDRY DETERGENT also. trust me, i've done it)
Don't use too much detergent though, otherwise it will stay in your diaper liners.

*Dryer: set your dryer to low and for as many minutes as your heart desires. there is no wrong amount of time. as long as your dryer is at the LOW TEMP, the diapers will not burn. the reason you need a low setting is because of the PUL material (it's plastic. i explain this in pt 1 of my cloth diaper mini series).
YOU DO NOT NEED TO LINE DRY. you can line dry if you'd like, but it is NOT REQUIRED.


*FOLDING: ha! hahahahahahaa! no need. just toss them in your clean diaper basket, drawer, or pile. you'll be using them quick as a cricket anyway.
