well I was very excited to here GM annouce they are doubling down on big displacement N/A V8 engines for the future with the introduction of the 6th generation of small block apparently coming available in 2027 for the Chevy and GMC 1500 trucks

I talk about the press release and the wording used like a focus on increased fuel economy and reduced emissions. I also discuss some current issues with the V8 engines that are currently in the GM full sized trucks and why i would like to see these problems be resolved.

I would like Direct and port injection engines, valve train and lifters overhauled with new designed and more power being offered in the 5.3L V8 engine because I think it has fallen behind in the competition.

Also there are rumours that these engines could be paired with a hybrid motor so lots of interesting stuff coming down the line from GM full sized trucks. very happy to see them keeping the V8 engines alive and well.
