Cllr Paul Kunes talks to us about the completed work to improve the drainage and to resurface the car park near The Walks stadium on Tennyson Avenue in King's Lynn, following the transfer of the car park back to the Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk.
The car park, which was previously leased to King's Lynn Town Football Club, was in a very poor state of repair and had been for some time, exacerbated by inefficient drainage on the site. It has now been transformed into a much more useable and welcoming space.
The council has undertaken a major project to improve the drainage and to create a surface suitable not only for cars but also for coaches when the car park is used by the football club for visiting teams.
