Описание: Lech am Arlberg, 🇦🇹 is truly elite - winter or summer, it is in the top 1% of places to relax if you love great food, drinks, and fun. One visit to Lech and its neighboring villages in the Arlberg mountains and you will be hooked.

I have skied, hiked, biked, golfed, dined, sipped, relaxed, and partied here for over two decades. These are my top recommendations to eat, drink, and have fun:

1. EAT: Hagen’s Dorf Metzgerei. Amazing steaks and regional specialities.

2. EAT: Hus No. 8. Pre-order roasted duck, hot-stone steak, cheese fondu or fondu Chinoise.

3. EAT: Chef’s Table at the Rote Wand. Elite. Beautiful.

4. EAT: Kriegeralp. Get the Kaiserschmarrn at 3pm and bring friends.

5. DRINK: Hospiz Alm. Legendary. The greatest collection of large format Bordeaux bottles in the world - thank you Adi Werner.

6. DRINK: MooserWirt. Probably the baddest après ski hut in the Arlberg (and the best in the world)

7. DRINK: Omes 2557. Outstanding microbrew names after the Omesberg mountain.

8. DRINK: Rote Williams. Created by master distiller Hans Reisetbauer for the Ski Club Arlberg. Crafted from special red pears transplanted from France, and recognized as Austria’s best spirit in 2015 after being awarded a perfect 100 points by Falstaff.

9. FUN: The Lange Zug (The Long Train). One of the steepest groomed slopes in Europe, with sections at 80% gradient.

10. FUN: The Run of Fame: at 85km, the longest ski circuit in the Alps. Start early and go, go, go!

11. FUN: Der Weisse Ring (The White Ring). An annual amateur ski race that covers 27km (14 miles) and over 5,000 meters in elevation change. Epic.

12. FUN: Die Nacht (The Night). The legendary parties that follow the White Ring Race. Bring a helmet torch. Start at Balmalp. Close it down and ski in the dark to Schlegelkopf. Dance to great DJs until it’s time to descend to Rud-Alpe. Dance more and order a large format bottle of wine. Then decend into Lech and visit the village parties until ... you time travel to bed.
