The winter has been cold, making it possible to walk on the sea ice. Just east of Helsinki, from Marjaniemi, you can walk towards Vartiosaari, where dense forest and magnificent scenery await.
Vartiosaari is located south of Tammisalo and east of Laajasalo.
There is no bridge or road leading there, and it has only 11 residents.
The beautiful nature, seascapes, and peacefulness keep me coming back here again and again.
This island is part of Helsinki's maritime nature and belongs to the inner archipelago of eastern Helsinki.
