Disc (Short Film)

Last-minute effort to make a Halloween upload… “spooky”. This is a short film (so don’t count this as one of my official features), that was originally sent to a film festival at the start of this year, but later withdrew it last minute after receiving an update that I thought was a rejection. So here we are, today!

The short was originally shot during the last few months of 2023, with an inspiration of Saw in mind. Actually, a story to those interested: my dad and one of his friends convinced me to make a short for a festival, so I can be noticed - since I loved filmmaking. The original version was around 20-something minutes, but then decided to add more footage (you’ll see towards the end); the short was finished in January 2024.

My barely past self was getting so intrigued, I wanted to turn the short into a feature film… which got scrapped. Why? I felt it was too mean spirited and had minimal character development, vice versa. Just like “The Tommy Zygaj Movie”! XD

Expect this one to be a rushed effort, since that festival had a short deadline.
