In this video, Ms. Marianne talks about our Medical Biller and Coder program. Medical Billers are responsible for knowing the contract of the various insurance companies that their providers work with and submitting those bills accurately and timely. Medical Billers follow up if a bill was paid, and submitting an appeal or backup documentation if there are any unpaid bills. Medical Coders are responsible for reviewing the reports such as history and physical, operative reports, office visits, and translating the surfaces that were provided in that documentation to numerical or alphanumerical codes. These codes signify diagnosis or procedures that were performed and placed on the bill and submitted for payment.
