Because a good sheet cake is a beautiful thing!
To paraphrase the great Julia Child: A party without a (sheet) cake is just a meeting. This sheet cake is so easy and pretty, it will even do the reverse and turn any old office meeting into a party. And for good measure, it’s loaded with chocolate eggs.
This cake is so easy to make.
Simply follow the instructions for the Woolworths Easy to Bake Sprinkles Cake Mix.
The only trick is to keep 1 tablespoon of cake mix aside and to combine it with the sprinkles, before stirring this mix into the batter (this prevents the sprinkles from sinking down to the bottom of the cake and allows them to spread evenly).
Pour the mixture into a sheet cake pan.
Bake at 170°C for 45 to 55 minutes.
In the meantime, mix the icing sugar as per the product instructions – you could also substitute some of the butter for full-fat cream cheese, for a more decadent icing.
Allow the cake to cool before icing Finally, top the cake with a variety of Fantastical Eggs or even Chuckles.
