Game is also CPU heavy
In the Optimized Settings I have limited the CPU clock speed to 3.2 GHz by setting the Minimum & Maximum Processor State to 99% via the Power Options in Control Panel. This not only reduced the GPU/CPU temps by a tremendous amount but also managed to maintain stable framerates with a smooth frame time graph. (Do keep in mind that not all games benefit from using this method)
