Peshawar is set to become a model for urban security as the Safe City Project enters its final phase. With over 700 state-of-the-art cameras, facial recognition, number plate reading, and 61 panic buttons, the city’s surveillance network will be fully operational by January 31, 2026. The integrated command and control center will link multiple districts, enhance crime detection, and improve traffic management, offering citizens real-time protection and signaling a major step forward in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s public safety infrastructure.
