Ready to bring your game world to life? In Episode 3 of the Hotline GDevelop series, we're building a complete, intelligent Enemy AI from the ground up!
This isn't just a simple patrol. In this GDevelop tutorial, you will learn how to:
● Create a hearing system so enemies can react to sound.
● Implement a custom raycast for line-of-sight detection.
● Build a Finite State Machine (FSM) to manage enemy behavior (Patrol, Investigate, Attack).
● Program the combat logic for enemies to find and attack the player.
By the end of this video, you'll have a dangerous enemy that can actively hunt the player, making your game a real challenge. This is a vital step in creating our Hotline Miami style game!
