During the Global Heat Flow Day 2026, Dr. Yuri Maystrenko gave a presentation on "Major crustal and sub-crustal heat sources in Norway: tectonic and climatic modulations of their thermal effect." The Global Heat Flow Day 2026 is an open and continuous scientific event across all time zones. It is organized by the International Heat Flow Commission (IHFC | www.ihfc-iugg.org) and the Task Force VIII of the International Lithosphere Program (ILP). The program spans project reports, measurement techniques, correction methods, shallow and marine heat flow, lithospheric structure, geothermal applications, urban heat islands, and the Global Heat Flow Database update.
