Описание: This is the story of Princess Anne Marie of Denmark and King Constantine II of Greece, the last King of the Hellenes. The couple married in Athens, Greece in 1964. Shortly after, a coup overthrew the democratic government and facing no other options the King swore in the new government. Meanwhile, he devised a secret plan to restore democracy in a counter coup de tat. The King’s counter coup failed and the Royal family were forced to flee the country and seek asylum in Italy. They later moved to the United Kingdom and the monarchy was formally abolished. King Constantine and Queen Anne Marie’s marriage lasted over 58 years before the King passed away in January of 2023.
