Note that the 4 to 1 ratio used in the video was a recommended starting point for descaling. Clearly this scenario could have allowed for a 6 to 1 or an 8 to 1 dilution.
The built in electronic descaling feature may help with the scaling issue, but is not a substitute for regular inspection.
