My friend Jozef and I made this trip in August 2019. We think this is one of the most beautiful places in Europe you can visit on a motorcycle. As we chose mostly off-road routes, we avoided the crowds.
The BMW R1200 GS (his 2009 and mine 2017) are brilliant bikes for this kind of trip as we don't have lots of off-road experience. They are definitely more capable off road then we are :-)
We loved this trip, loved the bikes and the tyres (Michelin Anakee Wild).
