This video is a tutorial of how to employ an IRT (Item Response Theory) framework to reduce test length. Specifically, item level misfit and item information functions will be used to generate a 9-item short from a 25-item test. The 2-PL IRT model with package ltm is used. The dataset is the IQ test modeled after Raven Progressive Matrices (RPM).
