In this video I try to see how many complete circles I can complete doing an old school BMX Infinity Roll. The Infinity Roll was one of the first tricks I learned back in 1986 on my orange Predator Free Form Z. Shortly thereafter I got my 1987 Redline RL20ii bike which is the bike I still have and ride today as seen in this video.
Doing BMX freestyle tricks is not only fun but also good for your fitness. The Infinity Roll trick works the shoulders, core, forearms, chest, and legs. Not only do you have to sustain the planking forces in your upper body to hold yourself up while leaning over the bike, you have to isometrically contract opposing muscle groups for control and continually make minor adjustments in real time to sustain balance and momentum. Any form of exercise that requires strength and balance at the same time has the potential to increase bodily control and metabolic demand, which makes doing Infinity Rolls even that much more cool! I got ten complete circles this time. I wonder how many I'll get when I break this record...
