This episode, I got the opportunity to ask Luis about his book on Managing Training Made Easy, and some of the training BS in the fitness world. He shares his alternative view on physical conditioning, proposing that speed and flexibility are mostly included under strength training and unnecessary to place in their own categories, as well as distinguishing that reaction speed isn't a physical ability.
I really appreciate the fact that Luis takes his time to explain in detail exactly why and how his viewpoint makes sense. Having studied sports sciences myself, I did find myself overwhelmed with the number training factors that I was taught. It's over-confusing and over-complicated, Luis does an amazing job simplifying this information to the basic factors of strength and endurance.
Luis has various degrees on sports sciences and high performance, as well as psychology. I truly hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did.
