He was more interested in profit than in purity, more focused on gain than on godliness. His story reminds us that spiritual gifts are not proof of spiritual maturity.
Jude warns that many have “rushed headlong into Balaam’s error.”

That means his mistake is not just ancient history, it’s a modern danger. Whenever we allow greed, compromise, or selfish ambition to influence our service to God, we step onto the same path Balaam walked.

Let us not repeat his error.
Let us guard our hearts from the subtle pull of pride and materialism.
Let us serve God with pure motives, not for what we can gain, but for His glory alone.
