Cauvery Dispute: Centre's high level technical team visits river basin

Описание: In a bid to settle the Cauvery water sharing dispute centre has sent a high level team of experts led by Central water commission chairman G S Jha to godavry basin.The technical team is visiting the river basin along with nominees of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala to submit a report in the Supreme Court by October 17. GS Jha said after studying the situation in the Cauvery basin in Karnataka, the team would place the existing ground realities before the Supreme Court.The apex court will hear the matter on October 18.
