The other day, whilst sitting at the piano, learning a song I thought might be a small statement to make about this moment we’re all living though, these chords happened and directly after, the lyrics. My friend who posts these videos for me kindly asked if I wanted to post anything and I generally feel like what more can I say about such a hideous and shameful act? What can I add to such a massive conversation? Well, perhaps that is exactly what’s wrong. Not saying something, anything. Forgetting that this happens. Forgetting everyday that there is such disgusting injustice and inequity out there. If this wasn’t such a natural outpouring I was obviously moved to feel, I’d probably still be asking myself what to do? What was okay to do? What was okay to say? Well, the answer; something, anything, even if it’s only to yourself, everyday, until things change.

If you’ve watched this song, now watch it again. That is still less time than that man had his knee on another man’s neck. I think it would have been impossible for him to do that if he was committed to the belief that WE ARE ALL THE SAME!!! EVERY HUMAN BEING, WE ARE ALL THE SAME. ALL ONE. That’s basically the name of this project is. We’re all one. If you make that your ground floor belief, from which all things propagate, I guarantee it’ll be harder to be unkind and inhumane toward others. We’re all the same. We’re all related. We’re all one.
