Описание: On June 1, 2011, One of the most powerful tornadoes in New-England history would occur. It was the end of a large-scale tornado event across the US beginning a few weeks earlier. It was rated EF3, a classification only given to somewhat strong tornadoes. Most notably, this twister has been widely considered as one of the strongest tornadoes in the New England area since the turn of the century. It tore through the city of Springfield, Massachusetts and the town of Monson, Massachusetts. Due to its unusual location, the outbreak/tornado have become well known by many and unforgettable by most alive in the area at the time. Its intensity was truly a phenomenon, and history has kept it alive. Not only this, but the tornado happened in the center of the afternoon, meaning there was a behemoth of media from the twister. But, Since most videos were shared back then, any new angles from the event are most definitely a big deal, especially if up-close. For example, I recently discovered this incredible footage of the tornado beginning to touch down in West Springfield. You can actually see the then-weak twister approached the videographer, leaving him recording INSIDE OF IT!. It was recorded by Richard Orlick, who’s shared it on his facebook. This footage is extremely rare (due to it being INSIDE), so I do hope you all enjoy! Special thanks to Richard for recording this and posting it on his Facebook back then!
