It was an incredible honor to conduct The Star-Spangled Banner before the Oregon Ducks vs Indiana Hoosiers game at Autzen Stadium. Few moments capture the shared emotion of music and sport quite like this, and I felt not only honored but deeply emotional. The young people in the band were incredible in their playing and their warmth to me, and did themselves, our anthem, and their community proud.
The energy, anticipation, and swelling of sound were unforgettable. I hope this video conveys even a fraction of that atmosphere.
