I'm open to the fact that some people have better hearing than me. Especially people 30 years younger than me, for sure, if we are talking about high frequencies. Recently a popular audio YouTuber claimed to be able to hear the difference between 320 MP3s and WAV files in a blind test, but it turns out, so can I. So instead of flexing about my superior hearing, I decided to scrutinize the test itself and I show you in this video my findings.
This is not to say that there is nobody who can tell the difference between a well encoded 320 and a WAV, I just think it might have been made too easy in the NPR test.
