UPDATE: Check out the update to this video here: • CL Project Design sear spring update video
Instaluję 3 części: disconnector, firing pin lock, oraz sear spring - czy da się "oszukać system" i polepszyć pracę spustu bez Wielkiej Polerki? :) Dodatkowo, wymieniam chwyt na Cow Cow. Jest też bonus clip, w postaci pomiaru spustu w Army r501 ;)
AKTUALIZACJA: udało mi się naprawić sprężynę i tutaj pokazuję efekty po zainstalowaniu: • CL Project Design sear spring update video
English section starting at 16:41
EN: Today, I'm installing a new Cow Cow grip, as well as 3 new parts, that I hope, will improve the action of my trigger. Those parts are the Cow Cow disconnector, Cow Cow firing pin lock and CL Design sear spring. The goal here is to see if "premium" aftermarket parts will be good enough, to improve the trigger on their own and if I can avoid the tedious work of polishing everything and the dangerous operation of filing down the hammer. Disclaimer - I've already had the AM steel hammer and sear/strout installed. The video is in Polish, but I did a summary of my findings in English as well - at the end. I'm also leaving timestamps below, to some key sections of the video, so that you can easily find the before and after measurements as well as the presentation of the parts.
02:24 - what's on the menu: sear spring, disconnector, firing pin lock and cow cow grip with applied AM grip tape.
05:09 - measuring the existing trigger pull (1.75 lb = 793g) (stock gold match trigger was measured at 1lb = 453g).
08:21 - presentation of the stock sear spring vs. CL Design sear spring. The CL spring is the matte one.
10:40 - what happens with the CL spring. Hammer will not cock.
11:38 - measuring the trigger pull after upgrades (disconnector + firing pin) (1.5 lb = 680g)
15:08 bonus clip - Army Armament r501 trigger pull (4 lbs!!! 1,8 kg)
16:41 - video summary in English
In case you don't watch the full video, skip the summary etc. let me just say this: I fully trust Clarence and his designs. It's very likely, that my spring was simply damaged during transport, which caused it to overbend. However, should this be the case, I strongly suggest that any retailer that ships this part to customers, does a better job with packaging it. It is a very fragile part and even the slightest bend can render it useless. Please ship it in a hard shell of some sort, to avoid these types of issues. I will most likely do a follow up video, where I'll try to bend the spring into proper shape and see how it performs.
