What an epic beautiful day as we finish our day after the summit and wind down in Radium Hot Springs! First we found a pretty sketchy wild campsite so we decided to bail and stay at a paid one. Overpriced but did the trick! Next morning we woke up and headed off to enjoy a soak at the hot springs and also to enjoy a shower as it was much needed... Not before paying for an extremely overpriced breakfast first....I don't advise eating out for breakfast in Radium that's for sure...
After we soaked in the springs we headed back towards where we came from so we can head west on the hwy 1 towards Revelstoke. Saw a male big horned sheep this time and stopped at the painted pots. The pots themselves are a bit underwhelming but the boardwalk and views make the stop worth it! Finally made it driving up the switchbacks to Takakkaw Falls, the second highest waterfall in Canada!
Definitely worth the stop and is a must see if visiting the area. So is Emerald Lake though! WHAT A BEAUTY! Hard to compare the lakes and say which one is the most beautiful but let me tell you this one is among the best lakes I have seen here! The blue even without the sun shining just pops and the mountains surrounding are just perfect!
Definitely check out I-Overlander for the wild camping areas around here as there are quite a few and this one is one of the best on the entire trip!
