1 in 5 patients with sepsis die. Presentation is variable and can mimic other conditions. It evolves over time and all the data required to make the diagnosis is not available on presentation yet it is a time-dependent medical emergency!
The Tallaght University Hospital (TUH) Sepsis 6 song was first introduced at Grand Rounds in March 2018 and the accompanying video was launched at the TUH Audit Symposium in April 2019. The video was produced as an education aid to support the implementation of the National Sepsis Guideline and supporting documents, i.e. Sepsis Form.
