Named as one of this year's BBC 100 Women, the New York City-based performer advocates for the preservation of North African women-led dance traditions - including raï, a grassroots genre associated with social protest. Warda performed at London's Algerian festival “DZFest” this year, where she met with BBC 100 Women.
