The Black Lamps have been together for over ten years but the
musical history of various members of the band goes right back to the early
1980’s and involves a number of Barnsley groups that emerged during the lively
post-punk scene of the time. Drummer Dean Ormston was part of Second Coming
& Creatures of Habit. Singer/guitarist Liam Stewart was part of Creatures
of Habit. Bassist Greg Firth was a member of Party Day and guitarist Lyndon
Scarfe was a member of the Danse Society. Richard Eastwood who plays horns and keyboards is also singer/guitarist in current Barnsley group Cubic...
