Filming a Commercial on RED Komodo + RED Gemini | Australian Outback Adventure

Описание: My film production business @bluumedia house was approached to shoot a TV commercial in the Australian Outback. It was my first time going back to North Queensland since my accident so I was excited and nervous at the same time. We packed up our gear and flew to Mt Isa for 2 and half days and did our best to capture our experience on top of working relentlessly to get the most of this short trip.

This shoot was also a great opportunity to film with my RED Komodo and RED Gemini and put them side by side. I was using 2 very different lenses for each camera therefore I'm pretty sure you will have no issue telling which one is which. I was using each camera very differently as well taking advantage of their respective strength. On one side the Komodo and its global shutter, small form factor for the best handheld one on one rig, always ready to shoot and capture more intimate moments. On the other side, the Gemini and its amazing slow-motion capabilities (5K120 wide all the way down to some 2K300 I believe) mounted on the DJI Ronin 2 with a telephoto lens to capture some super cinematic shot. I must admit, I'm super proud of this combo, and the grading of the R3D in post was a pleasure to work with!
